Abstract Art for Art Pavilion Exhibition: In A Country Far, Far Away (1-17th March)

This group show incorporates work by 80 artists from London, Europe and further afield which presents varied interpretations of fairytales, myths and legends from countries under sufferance of war and crisis. It offers a platform for reconnection with, and enhanced understanding of true personal identities behind the distorted images which arise from conflict and crisis.

The exhibition, brought to life by East London curatorial service Art Catcher, is accompanied by a busy programme of workshops and events that have something to offer for most ages and walks of life.

These include exhibition exploration materials hub for children, a speed storytelling event, a personal roots interview and photo portrait studio and a (half dressed) life drawing afternoon. Other workshops include making a communal golem from clay, as well as an animation-based film night portraying cultures of the world, and a meditation sound bath.

Last but not least, fantastic music will be on the menu from UK folk band Mishaped Pearls on 1 March at 8pm, and Lebanese indie-pop formation Sandmoon on 17 March at 7pm.
