People examine crafts at the Art Fair

Urban Makers East are continuing their run of seasonal makers’ markets at our Ecology Pavilion in Mile End Park. Situated amongst the lakes and reed beds of the park, the Pavilion provides a wonderful setting for some of the area’s foremost independent designer-makers.

To celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd) the market is being curated with an ecological agenda. As the 2018 theme is End Plastic Pollution, Urban Makers East will be minimising all single-use plastics and encouraging designers to use biodegradable plastics and recycled packaging.

There will be completely new designers each day, so why not visit the Market twice!. You can expect art, homeware, natural skincare, jewellery, textiles, stationery, knitwear, clothes for hip kids, contemporary miscellanea and more.

For the kids, there will be pond dipping and net sweeping in the park and craft activities in the mini makers craft room.

If you need to restore some energy, visitors can sit, relax and enjoy the view through the floor to ceiling windows whilst enjoying exquisite street food, killer cakes, artisan coffee and Spring cocktails.
